Ways To Experience Breathwork

More Than a Breathing Technique

A guided experience designed to help you explore the connection between your breath, body, mind, and emotions.

Breathing With Intention

Breathwork is the intentional use of breathing techniques to influence and explore your physical, mental, and emotional experience.

Different techniques can create very different experiences—from calming and regulating to energizing, balancing, or more deeply exploratory.

The breathing technique is only one part of an IAB Breathwork experience.

Intention. Preparation. Environment. Music. Facilitation. Choice. Integration.

These elements create the container in which the breathing takes place—helping you understand what you're doing, remain connected to your own experience, and determine how deeply you want to explore.

Explore Group Breathwork

Your experience is your own—even when you breathe together.

A group breathwork experience brings people together in a shared, intentionally created environment while allowing each participant to follow their own experience.

There is no expectation that everyone breathe at the same pace, experience the same sensations, or reach the same emotional or physical place. The shared experience can create a powerful sense of connection and collective energy while still honoring individual choice.

Group experiences may include opportunities for grounding, reflection, connection, and integration before and after the active breathwork portion.

Complimentary Introduction To Breathwork

An Opportunity To Try Before You Dive In

ARRIVE → EDUCATION → PRACTICE → BREATHE → EXPLORE → REINTEGRATE

An IAB Breathwork Introductory Journey isn't simply a period of guided breathing. You learn about the experience and techniques before jumping into a full session. An opportunity to practice the techniques in a 15 minute  session with a 5 minute cool down. giving each participant the chance to have the experience of intentioanl breathing through guidance, breathing, music, and intention before gradually returning you to your natural breath and allowing time to settle, reflect, and integrate.

You remain an active participant in determining the intensity of your experience.

Individual Sessions

Your breath is a tool. Learn how to use it with intention.

Individual Breathwork is a personalized, one-on-one experience that uses specific breathing techniques and guided practices to support your individual health, wellness, and performance goals.

Sessions can be tailored toward athletic performance and recovery, physical endurance, stress and anxiety management, nervous-system regulation, trauma release, and developing breathing strategies that may help you navigate PTSD-related stress responses and episodes.

Rather than following one prescribed breathing method, we explore techniques appropriate to your goals and how your body responds—giving you practical tools you can continue using beyond the session.

Whether you want to breathe more efficiently during physical activity, create greater calm during periods of anxiety, explore the relationship between breath and stored tension, or develop a more intentional connection with your nervous system, the work begins with understanding what you want your breath to help you accomplish.

Personalized breathwork for the body, mind, and life you actually live.

Every Journey Has a Purpose

Each IAB Breathwork Journey is created around a particular focus or intention:

Self-Empowerment • Internal Peace • Letting Go

Self-Trust • Self-Discovery • Transformation

The intention provides direction for the breathing, facilitator guidance, music, and overall experience.

Different intentions. Different journeys.

Together, those three pieces answer “What Is Breathwork?” through technique, architecture, and intention.

WHAT I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BREATHWORK

Every Experience Is Different

Breathwork experiences can range from deeply calming and restorative to physically energizing, emotionally expressive, or intensely focused.

Some journeys emphasize slowing down and regulation. Others intentionally create greater activation before returning the breath and body toward rest and integration.

What Might I Notice?

You may notice changes in:

Body sensation • temperature • tingling • muscle tension • energy • emotion • thought patterns • awareness

You may experience several of these—or very little at all.

There is no experience you are supposed to have.

Different Journeys. Different Energy.

Some IAB journeys use quieter breathing and settling practices associated with rest, regulation, and parasympathetic activity.

Others incorporate more active breathing associated with greater activation and sympathetic activity, followed intentionally by slowing, settling, and integration.

Sympathetic & Parasympathetic — What Does That Mean?

Your Experience. Your Choice.

You remain an active participant throughout the experience.

At times you may be encouraged to explore the edge of manageable discomfort when you feel comfortable doing so. You can also reduce your breathing intensity, return toward your natural breath, or communicate when you need support.

Going deeper is an invitation—not an obligation.

Breath Into Your Own Pace

An IAB group breathwork experience is not about performing, keeping up, or having the same response as anyone else. You remain in choice throughout the experience. The breath is guided, but your body and nervous system help determine the pace, depth, and direction of your individual experience.

Is Breathwork Appropriate for Everyone?

Certain breathing practices are not appropriate for everyone.

Health history, current circumstances, and the type of breathwork being offered all matter. Appropriate screening and education are therefore part of IAB Breathwork, particularly before more active or transformational journeys.
